In order to restart Denmark in earnest and get the domestic tourism industry going, the government has decided to give the Danes a good offer: Get double the holiday pay if you keep your Holiday in Denmark. This is the message from a central source of negotiation to RejsRejsRejs.dk.

After a few years of hard times in the Danish tourism sector, it is now time to boost the needy industry. The government will do this by doubling your holiday pay if you sign a declaration of faith and law that for the rest of 2022 you will keep your holiday within the country's borders and use the holiday pay here.

If you are one of the many who have already been paid your holiday pay on the first payday yesterday, March 31, you can claim a similar amount at a later date when the scheme is fully implemented.

Increased travel focus on Denmark

More Danish travel agents has during the corona era reorganized their business to operate in Denmark instead of abroad, and the great focus on domestic travel has also hit the travel magazine RejsRejsRejs.dk:

“It is clear that the current world situation means that we must look more towards travel within our own country. For the same reason, we have just published a guide to our own Danish summer holiday favorites, and we have a great focus on Denmark right now. It is a fantastic travel country we live in, and we must keep that in mind ", says editor-in-chief Jens Skovgaard Andersen from RejsRejsRejs.dk and continues:

"That we can now get twice as much money to spend a Danish holiday for is only gratifying, and I am sure that most children can eat two waffle ice creams instead of one in the summer country".

The scheme for doubling holiday pay for the Danes who stay at home this year will, according to RejsRejsRejs'information will be presented at a press conference later Friday.
